The Opportunity:-
My client, a progressive boutique consultancy, are currently recruiting for consultants who will help public sector clients in areas such as optimising their procurement practices, improve contract management and identify opportunities for cost savings and innovation. Working on high-profile projects, the successful candidate will leverage their skills in category management, contract management as well as senior stakeholder engagement, to deliver tangible results.
Key Candidate Criteria:-
Procurement / sourcing / category management / contract management experience gained from within a Local Authority / Council environment, or from a Management Consultancy (essential)
Experience of contracting utilising the Public Sector procurement rules PCR 2015 / OJEU as well as knowledge of the Procurement Act
Great stakeholder relationship engagement skills / business partnering approach, able to engage credibly with senior executives and procurement teams
Great big data analysis skills, able to spot savings / efficiencies opportunities
Strong project management and problem-solving capabilities
Team leadership or mentoring experience
