​Our client, a prominent global law firm, is seeking a skilled Responsible Sourcing Manager to cover a maternity leave. This role presents an exciting opportunity to drive the firm's Responsible Sourcing programme and contribute to its sustainability initiatives.

Position Overview

The Responsible Sourcing Manager will be crucial in managing key projects, enhancing supplier engagement, and supporting the firm's sustainability goals. This position is vital in ensuring the firm's commitment to responsible business practices and maintaining its reputation as a leader in the legal industry.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the Responsible Sourcing programme at a leading global law firm

  • Enhance supplier engagement and support the firm's sustainability goals

  • Contribute to the firm's commitment to responsible business practices

  • Gain experience in a collaborative and sustainability-focused environment

  • Ensure timely inputs and scoring in RFx processes

  • Complete supplier onboarding assessments

  • Track key suppliers using the EcoVadis platform

  • Input data into annual sustainability reporting mechanisms

  • Host the annual Supplier Sustainability Summit

  • Manage supplier portfolios across technology platforms

  • Create communications related to Responsible Sourcing

  • Maintain partnerships with advocacy groups

  • Develop training initiatives

  • Lead supply chain decarbonisation efforts

Requirements

  • Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply qualification or similar experience

  • Previous involvement in developing and implementing a Responsible Sourcing programme

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills

  • Professional and engaging demeanour

  • Genuine drive to improve supplier engagement and sustainability performance

  • Practical experience in gathering, analysing, monitoring, and reporting social and environmental data

  • Intermediate project management and Microsoft Office skills

  • Familiarity with ESG supplier portals

  • Ability to interpret carbon footprinting and lifecycle assessment.
