Position Overview
In this vital role, you'll be tasked with heading the overall sourcing on capital projects. This includes formulating and executing project procurement strategies as well as ensuring that related contracts are in line with the project's delivery and contracting strategy. It's a challenging and rewarding role, with the potential to greatly influence how the company progresses towards a sustainable future.
Responsibilities
Lead the overall sourcing process on capital projects
Craft and implement project procurement strategies
Ensure that all contracts related to the project align with project delivery and contracting strategy
Steer contract negotiations effectively
Conduct performance management for EPCM contractors
Uphold company values, ethical practices, and safety culture
Requirements
Experience in project procurement within the chemical, oil & gas, or life science industry
Previous experience in capital project procurement management within industrial/construction projects
Knowledge in managing major engineering/contractor firms and construction subcontractor base
Proficiency in quality standards, tools, and processes
Impressive negotiation skills and experience in leading contract negotiations
A Business or Technical Bachelors Degree or MCIPS
