My client, a progressive and commercially minded Public Sector organisation, are currently recruiting for two Head of Category level positions to look after the Professional Services spend areas – (workforce, contingent / permanent labour / recruitment + other areas or consultancy, travel, legal, audit, translation services + other areas). The successful candidates will lead on the development of innovative strategic category / procurement strategies which will reach across a wide stakeholder community.
Applicants will ideally bring a blend of the following skills / experience: -
Clear commercial / procurement experience in the professional services / corporate category spend areas at a senior category manager level. Recruitment / workforce experience is essential for one of the roles.
Experience of working in a large scale complex regulated organisation and/or a Public Sector procurement compliant environment (PCR2015 / OJEU / Procurement Act) – strongly desirable
Knowledge of category management / contract management, and its commercial value, coupled with the ability to deliver across multiple projects.
Great stakeholder relationship engagement skills / business partnering approach with wider political awareness.
