My client, a high profile public sector organisation that is delivering a vital service to the country, are currently recruiting for a Senior Category Manager / Commercial Lead level role, in the Professional Services / corporate category spend area.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the hands-on delivery of innovative category strategies and contract management across spend areas such as recruitment contingent labour, management consultancy, training and marketing / advertising. With this role bringing line management responsibility, my client is looking for candidates who will bring a coaching / mentoring leadership approach, in what is a L&D focussed environment.
Candidates will ideally bring a blend of the following: -
Clear commercial / procurement experience ideally in the professional services / corporate category spend areas at a senior category manager level.
Background of developing innovative category strategies and/or contract management / supplier relationship management (SRM) protocols that deliver high quality commercial outcomes, value for money and mitigate risk
Experience in delivering high value complex strategic commercial services negotiations in fast paced and dynamic environment
Inclusive Leadership / Management experience, ideally gained from working within a CPD / L&D culture.
Excellent senior stakeholder relationship skills.
Public Sector / OJEU / PCR2015 procurement experience is a desirable but not essential
Candidates must be eligible to live / work in the UK and be prepared to go through a security clearance process.
