London based client offering hybrid working - office (currently 1 day p/w likely to move to 2 days p/w) - home (3/4 days p/w)
The Opportunity:-
My client, a progressive Public Sector organisation, are currently recruiting for a Procurement / Category Manager in the Adults and Childrens Social Care / Public Health / People spend area. Leading a team, the successful candidate will also deliver strategic and hands-on procurement activities.
Key Candidate Criteria:-
Procurement / sourcing / category management experience gained from within a Local Authority / Council environment.
Knowledge of the social care category spend areas (Adults, Childrens, Public Health) is essential
Experience of contracting utilising the Public Sector procurement rules PCR 2015 / OJEU as well as knowledge of the Procurement Act and Provider Selection Regime – PSR
Great stakeholder relationship engagement skills / business partnering approach
Team leadership / management or mentoring experience is desirable
